How to migrate from Firebase Studio
Updated October 25, 2026
Whether you are moving for features, pricing or availability, a calm migration starts with getting your code and data out and listing what the project depends on.
1. Export your code
Make sure the project is in a Git repository you control, and clone it locally.
2. Inventory services
List the Firebase services you use — authentication, Firestore, storage, hosting, functions — and the environment variables the app needs.
3. Pick the destination
You can continue the same codebase in an AI code editor, or rebuild in another AI app builder using the existing app as the spec.
4. Move data and redeploy
Export data if you change databases, set up hosting and test sign-in, data access and payments in staging before switching users over.
