How to export code from an AI app builder
Updated October 25, 2026
Exporting code lets you keep developing in your own repository, hire developers and host wherever you want.
1. Check what export means for your tool
Some builders sync to GitHub continuously, some offer a ZIP download, and some only export on paid plans.
2. Export and run locally
Clone or unzip the project, install dependencies and start it locally. Follow the README if one is generated.
3. Replace platform-specific services
Note any hosted database, auth or storage the builder provided. Either keep using them with your own keys or migrate to services you control.
4. Deploy
Choose a host that supports your framework, set environment variables and deploy a staging copy first.
